Guidance counselors are very helpful with pointing students in the right direction for certain schools and programs, particularly those that they are familiar with. There are many colleges that do not accept AP classes for college credit, so be sure to check with the colleges you are interested in to see if they will accept the credits.

SAT and ACT scores have a big impact on the amount of scholarship that a college gives a student. We suggest using a reputable Test Prep company or tutor to prepare students for the exams so they receive the most merit money as possible. Visit our resource page for local recommendations.
